On August 11 - 12, 2018 in Austin, TX, Dance Africa Fest welcomes five distinct African Diaspora dance artists for an in-depth, two-day workshop exploring Guinean dance and vocal workshops, Trini-style Carnival dance, Haitian Vodou dance, and New Orleans’ Second Line as a cultural aesthetic. Taught by premier artists, these high-energy workshops introduce students to a unique blend of African, Caribbean and American dance traditions, with many classes incorporating live drumming and music performed by some of Austin’s best musicians. These workshops are sure to engage and delight students of all ages and levels! 

LOCATION: Ballet Afrique Contemporary Dance, 8011 Cameron Rd #500, Austin, TX 7875.  ***** Pre-registration recommended as space is limited.
